Time Off

Employee holidays are included on the school calendar. Hourly employees are paid only for hours worked, and year-round employees receive two weeks off during the summer when the Administrative Office closes.

Paid Time Off allows employees to take paid leave for (1) Personal or family illness or injury (2) Preventative medical care (3) Urgent personal matters (4) Bereavement has up to 3 paid time off days for immediate family members. Paid Time Off requests must be submitted to supervisors in advance whenever possible. PTO must be used for time off if available; unpaid leave is not allowed while PTO remains. PTO is allotted based on start date and may be taken in half-day or full-day increments.

For blackout days, PTO is generally not approved during key dates such as professional learning days, testing periods, holidays, and the last week of school.

Employees absent 8 days in a year will have a review with their supervisor; 12 days requires a review with HR.
