	With smaller class sizes, our teachers can deeply engage with students while forging supportive, trust-based relationships with students and their families.
	We hire certified English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers and provide comprehensive, on-campus classroom support, including specialists, Response to Intervention (RTI) services, and Instructional Coaches (ICs).

Becoming a Teacher at TBP

Thinking About Becoming a Teacher?

You can gain valuable classroom experience by working as a substitute, instructional aide, or provisional teacher while completing your certification.

You can become a Provisional Teacher by following the steps below:

Have a bachelors degree
Agree to enroll in an Alternative Certification Program (ACP) such as iTeach or ECAP within 60 days after being hired.

Already Texas Certified? Here's How to Begin.

A valid teaching certificate is required in the state of Texas in order to teach.

The first step starts with earning your bachelor’s degree, finishing a certification program, and passing your certification exams. For Trinity Basin, all teachers are required to work toward obtaining ESL certification if they do not currently hold it. More information can be found on the TEA website.

Experienced Teacher with Out of State Certification?

If you already hold a teaching credential from another state or US territory and are seeking certification in Texas, you must apply for a review of credentials. The credentials include official transcripts from all colleges and universities, copies of all standard teaching certificates, and proof of English language proficiency if you earned your degree outside the United States.
